This copy is a restricted version of the full package. You may distribute and use this copy freely for a period of 30 days (see legal stuff at the end for more detailed info) but it has the following restrictions:
- Any volume password you use as parameter to mount a volume is
internally set to an empty string (but you need to pass a parameter
anyway).
- Mounting a shared volume, using the MP ASMount or MP ASLogin
functions, is only possible if the server is located in the same zone as
the current machine. (If you pass a zone name it's changed internally
to '*'.)
- Searching for a server using the MP ServerExists function is only
possible in the same zone as the current machine. (If you pass a zone
name it's changed internally to '*'.)
- The MP ServerExists function doesn't allow any type to be used,
'AFPServer' is always the default.
- Volumes are only mounted if the user of which you passed its
username and password is the owner of the volume and has full
access to it.
This documentation, however, describes the fully functional version.
In order to obtain a full working copy you need to send by mail at least US$ 20 IN CASH to the address (using the form) at the end of this document. Don't bother with checks etc. because the bank will charge you between US$ 10-20 for transfering it. If you want to receive the latest version and documentation on disk (together with all 4D related software I have published), please mention this. If you don't have an email address I will then send you a disk without any additional charges. Otherwise I will email you compressed DiskImage files of these two disks.
